Rising Artist “APNP” Is The Next Wave Out Of Atlanta

APNP is an hip hop artist originating from New Orleans, Louisiana but now resides in Atlanta, GA. His name is an abbreviation for “A Plug/Pimp Named Pablo”. He always had a passion for music but started taking his craft seriously around the year of 2014. His first introduction to music was through his cousin that stayed with him and his grandmother in New Orleans; APNP was inspired by watching him write all day and battle rappers in their local music scene. APNP’s father also owned an independent record label and his cousin was the artist he signed first. APNPs sound is very unique compared to his peers, which is very apparent on his 2017 release “Ape Sh!t.

So BBL is a new record I just released produced by Energy Beats. The video is out now on YouTube but basically bbl is a club type record party, hype, type vibe.

How did you come up with the concept of the visual?

I really didn’t have an actual concept for the video, but the visual had taken place at an event I threw in Atlanta for NBA all star weekend. It was a pre game tip off party bus. So at the heat of the moment me and the videographer we just decided to just shoot the video. It was just one of those perfect timing situations and everything just turned out well.

What makes you stand out from other artists?

My music and content because it’s just different and unique in it’s own way. Really I’m in a lane of my own.
