Shakeel Wasean Ivery, Better known as Polo Shak is an American rapper, songwriter, actor, model and brand ambassador who was born December 8th, 1992 in Astoria Queens, New York. His career began at a young age. He fell in love with the art while being introduced to records and artists his parents enjoyed. Music became his passion from there.

In 2002 he formed a music group called Gemstarz at the age of 12 with other children from the area. The group soon died off, but Polo Shak was born. Polo Shak has been applying pressure since becoming a solo artist. He has done songs with Third World Don, Dyce Payso, Carson Key who was formally signed to Soulja Boy label SODMG, upcoming R&B artist Dior Ahmonii plus more.

Polo Shak was honored to have been seen live on the BET Soul Train Awards in 2021. Grammy-award winner Ashanti took home the prestigious 2021 Soul Train Awards “Lady of Soul” honor at the year’s celebration of R&B and Soul, as they also paid tribute and gratitude to 50 years of Soul Train. Polo Shak was able to bask around industry greats such as Maxwell, 21 Savage, Summer Walker, Fred Hammond and many others. Polo Shak is dedicated and determined to make a name for himself and continue to grow. He just released an album titled “Untitled” last Christmas in 2021.
